Hey all...I want to try to use a script that allows nontechnical / locked down users to know what wireless network they are connected to. Problem is sometimes a machine cant connect to an intended preffered wireless access point and the machine connects to some neighboring open point and the client doesnt notice until something goes wrong. Is that possible?

Wireless network configurations are not scriptable so I doubt that this would be possible.

You can however tell your users to just mouse over the network connections icon in the system tray. (picture of two monitors with a globe in front of them). That will display currently connected networks.

I hope you find this post helpful.

Regards,

Mark
