I'm trying to find out how much ram, processor speed ect. my box has without opening it up. It has to run all the time and I can't take any chances. Any help appreciated:)

What you are looking for is the hwconfig comnmand and also to look in the /usr/adm/messages file. The messages file in /usr/adm will give you pretty much the same information as the hwconfig just not as pretty and will also give you the physical mem size in the system along with other attributes of the system.

Hope this helps!
