Hello I’m using a form that includes a text box and command button. I’m also working with adobe acrobat 7.0 pro that produces pdf files and also using Microsoft office document imaging that produces tiff files.

I’m using a scanner to scan things such as maps and highway projects that displays images accordingly when scanned. My table consist of the following fields: AsbuildID, Contract_Num, Project_Num, Road_Type, County and District.

On my form I’m trying to access those documents that consist of pdf and tiff files by typing the Contract_Num in the text box associated with those files and clicking the command button (that may contain the proper vba code) to view those documents in a image format the same way they would be viewed in adobe acrobat.. The pdf and tiff files are stored in a folder on my desktop.

Is it possible to accomplish such a task in Access and if so is there anyone out there that can help me with this?

Thank you very much…

From searching around a bit, it sounds like an ActiveX control is what you're looking for. Try searching on Access ActiveX PDF.
