View Microsoft Project (MPP) file in CF

Does anyone know how to view/pull in data from a MS Project file (*.mpp) via ColdFusion? Are there any CF objects/plug-ins/Custom Tags that has this capability?

I've been doing some research on various forums and what I have found thus far is writing VBA code to convert the MPP file to an Excel file. I have found a solution for viewing the Excel file via a CF query, but haven't found a way to convert the file to Excel via VBA. Not quite sure if this is the long way around to provide a result.

Any pointers or assistance is greatly appreciated!
