Hello,

If this is not the right forum, please recommend a forum for me to ask this question:

I have been given the task by my H.R. Director to look at the internet history of an employee.

Do I need to be logged on under his/her password at his/her computer to do this? I can get in the 'back door' using //computername/c$ but I can't translate what I see there into a URL history.

Thank you for your advice.

You know what I really would like? A tool that lets you select a remote computer on your network, select the user profile on that machine that you want to review, then view the index.dat files for that user. Most tools like this that I have seen are geared towards people who either a) want to erase their tracks or b) want to see what web sites their kids/spouse have been accessing from the family computer.
