How do I view files clients have open on the Y2K server. We sometime have a file lock up due to 3RD party software and I need to which client has it locked to unlock.

Thanks!

Hey,

Hmmm, I know that you can audit the application/folder/HD. Just the security console in mmc.
I'm not sure, as I don't use it,; but i think you can use netwatcher to see who is using what.

Tell me if it works.

Is Netwatcher a dos program or third party software. I can't seem to locate it! Thanks for the advice so far.

Try right clicking on My Computer, select Manage, and from the Computer Management console expand Shared Folders, then highlight Open Files and you should magically see who has what open....

ehartle,

That comment resolves the issue. I put a vote in for tip of the week for you.

Thanks,

Mike.
