view data via separate table

I have a form, based on a table [enter new frames], separate from the table [frames] I store info in. I use an append query to add [enter new frames] to the main table [frames]. I just added a subform to look for duplicates in the master [frames] table. When I enter data on the form everything works, however if I close the form and then reopen it the info is not displayed but it is in the table [enter new frames]. I tried changing to snapshot but then I can’t add any more entries.
