view 2 different office apps on one screen

I often work w/data on an excel spreadsheet and compare that info to a report in access. Is there some utility or program I can use to split my single monitor into 2 screens so I can work w/both apps at the same time? It would be great if this utility could divide my screen vertically and have a small view of one app on each side.

You probably already have that capability.

Make sure you either have only those 2 apps open, OR, minimise all other apps and then just right click on the taskbar and select 'Tile Windows Vertically'.

I tried your way and it's good. However, I wonder if there's an app that can shrink each program so they fit on half the screen and I won't have to scroll sideways to work w/each one. Probably not, but I thought it was worth a try. Thanks for your help.

Well with Excel you can use the Zoom function to do just that, but not sure about Access

Some video cards can handle multiple desktops or multiple screens. Check for software to do this.

Thanks, again. You always give good advice. I think if I have 2 apps side by side it would be hard to read both if the font is too small. Perhaps in the future I will get 2 monitors.
