I made an interactive CD that has a user interface developed in Flash. The user interface has three buttons that selects one of three 2minute or less swf video files. I have the video swf files play in a window of the user interface. Everything looks great except when you select the video file for the first time it takes a long time to load. Is there a way to stream video from an interactive CD so the video will start before it completely loads?

Simple answer, no! Must be fully loaded into ram before it plays. You can't even add a "playing" preloader... At best you can display a "loading" message but it will freeze as long as the called filed is preloading into ram.

After 25,000 posts, banned on FK, but proud not to have bowed down to them!

What if I made the movie play in a player like media player or something like that would it handle the load or is it still restricted to the full load into ram or would the player be able to stream it?
