Hi, all.

I don´t know if it is possible or it´s just a dream, but can be possible to integrate the Definity G3 si into videoconference? and if it´s possible what do you need to implement it?

thx.

If you're asking if you can run video through the pbx and eliminate the need for dedicated isdn for video, the answer is yes. You need to have ISDN trunks however connecting the PBX to the the PSTN. You can connect the video unit to the pbx via tn464 pri or through bri ports. Setup a udp entry to point an extension at the video unit's trunk group to route inbound traffic. That's about it hardware/software wise. There are a couple tweaks you may need to route patterns and LD pic's but that's about it.

Polycom makes a system that can connect through DCP ports. It's a little clunky, but it does work.

I've done both the ISDN and the DCP, and I prefer the ISDN.

Carpe dialem! (Seize the line!)

thanks guys.

I´ll be trying with the polycom.
