Video speed when published to CD

I'm using Flash 4 and am publishing my project to a CD for distribution. My movie is set at 750px X 550px and is running at 17fps. When I publish it, the audio track and effects run normal since they are "event driven" but the video slows down when running in full screen mode. What am I doing wrong? How can I get the project to run the same speed regardless of the machine it runs on?

sounds like, as you imply, a processor issue more than anything else. The only way to get round this is to design and test your output for a minimal processor, say a 133, using a 133 machine.

but if I"m publishing for a virtual business card ... how can I .. or can I insure that it will run at a proper speed? Do I need to create it larger? ... I'm stumped.

you can never ensure ANYTHING will run at the speed you intended, unless of course you test for every possible scenario...that would take an endless amount of time/hardware/software to achieve.

Processor issues in Flash are 99% down to the scripting involved in your movie. If you take as an example the 3d 'E' I made for Carl today....running that on a 133MHz would probably produce a 'jumpy' effect, because of the processing involved in creating the effect, but run it on anything above a 500 and it would 'probably' be smooth as ice.

Does your movie have looping scripting going on within it? Try taking that out if you can (just for testing purposes) and see if it makes a difference, if it does, then at least you have pin-pointed the problem.
