When I import a video and put it on the timeline, and the audio once i export the video and watch it, the top and bottom of the video are cut out, and when i go to safe margins and try to fit it in them as best as possible it leaves spaces on the right and left sides with nothing i can do about it, is there anyway to have it automatically fit to the margins? Also I plan to Compress the video before i export it, its rendering now, what woudl be the best format to compress it in? Thanks Alot

BTW im using adobe premiere pro 1.5.

just a little info... All TV's cut off video and if you are riesizing the video that is bad cause all TV's are different cutting off different parts of the video more. Which if you try to put it in safe margins area black space will show on the parts the TV doesn't crop as much.. The safe margins area shows the max that the TV will crop off.

The only thing is to shoot your video in mind that TV's do this and to leave a little head room on your shots to prevent it.. BTW I have had problems where I shot video of someone talking and watching after I export it and a good portion of there forehead it chopped off I was kinda annoyed.. had to go redo it..

Compressing depends on what you want to do with it.

Oh and I just thought about it. after exporting what are you wathcing on TV or computer cause if it your computer then there is a different issue..

not sure of your details, but are you using the right aspect ratio for your source clip. It sounds like you might be having a problem there.
