Hi Guy's & Gal's,

I have a selection of video clips that I want to create a drop-down option menu for the user to choose which video clip they want to view. Is it possible to do this in such a way that once the user has clciked on the option that the video then plays? I've tried to use the 'target' tag to allocate the video but I've not been successful - perhaps I'm missing something?

Any help greatly appreciated!

For video, its a tricky matter, because the user is in control of the plug-ins he/she has for their particular browser. Depending on the size of th video as well, it does have to download prior to playing in their media player (plugin or standalone)

Best just to offer as a download, or look into streaming formats

I agree with WizyWig. I think a download or streaming media would be the best. It is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYY too hard to mess with that stuff even if you know how.

One time, I was experimenting with the visibility and display properties of CSS1. I knew how to make stuff hidden and visible using JavaScript and CSS together. I decided to see if it would work. I wanted to have hidden videos and when a user clicked on a link that described a specific video. I tried it, but to no avail. I searched the Web and found a super long code just for one video! Take my advice, don't mess with it. Make the video(s) available for download or have them streamed (I recommend using either RealMedia or QuickTime for streaming).
