Hi All,

Have a Dell Latitude 8200 laptop with WindowsXP Pro. I had the video resolution set for 1024 x 768 no problems. I then ran Windows Update and installed several updates. One of the updates being an update for the NVIDIA. After running these updates when I login as the user (or any user) the display resolution defaults to 1600 x 1200. When I change it to 1024 x 768 it stays just for that login session. As soon as I logoff (or restart) and logon again the setting goes back to 1600 x 1200. Is there a way to lock the 1024 x 768 setting back in? Again, everything was fine until I installed updates from the Windows Update.

Would appreciate any thoughts!

TIA,
Zoey

Go in to your Display Properties and select setings tab
then select the advanced button at the bottom right
then select the Adapter tab
then select the List all Modes button on the bottom left
here you will select the mode you wish to keep
