I was getting a nv4 error on my system running Windows XP. A tech at CompUSA told me that meant that my XP was corrupted and I had to format my disk and re-install. I have formated my disk, but when I try to re-install, I get vertical red lines and little tiny white dots all over the screen.

Any ideas as to why?

Thanks

sounds like your nvidia video card is shot. try it in another computer if you can, and try a different card in your system.

Try updating your NVIDIA card drivers. There are problems with nvdia cards and Windows XP.
