I recently upgraded my CPU chip from an old AMD to a Pentium-S 166. Now the power management setting which turns off my monitor after five minutes of inactivity does not work after starting the computer. If I bring up control panel, power management, and click OK, then the monitor power management works correctly until I start the computer again.
My BIOS is Award Modular BIOS Version 4.51PG. Its power management settings are Power Management...Disable, PM Control by APM...Yes, Video Off Method...V/H SYNC+Blank, and Video Off Option...Susp,Stby->Off.
How can I solve this problem? Thank you.
