Hiee,
I want to put video files on my website.
I’d like to transfer video from my…

- VIDEO CAMERA on to my PC.
- VCR on to my computer.

Does anyone know where I can find information on how to do this?
OR
How do I copy video on to my PC?
What do I need?

Thanks,
Jenny

You will need a capture card with analogue inputs for the vcr - is the camcorder digital? if so you will also need a firewire capable card look for cards made by pinnacle systems - they make good budget cards with useful software.

Hi realhorrorshow,

So, I need two seperate video cards for both my Video Camera and VCR?

I'll check if my video camera is digital.

Thanks for the info.,
Jenny

No, you just need one - some can only accept either an analogue in or a digital video in. If you do have a digital video camera you'll need one that can do both.

Some tv tuner cards for pcs have an analogue in which may satisfy your needs, but may not come with a morw quality software editing package
