Hi,
I have installed Windows 2000 Server and have done all the updates from Windows update site but there is a missing Video Controller(VGA compatible) and now my display is not good.

Normally when I install updates this problem would not be there.

My machine is Dell Dimesnsio 4700 running Win XP Home Edition. I am doing an installation in VMWare, so the the Win2k Srv is actually an image(VMWare image).

Any help will be much appreciated.

Thanka.

VMWare uses its own display controller, it will not be installed via windows updates.

Simply choose 'Install VMWare tools' from the VMWare menus and follow the instructions.
