Video Conferencing 1

What is a good setup for beening able to video conference, or at least pass video, over the internet. I have a high speed connection on both ends, one is a laptop, one a desktop. I can voice over AIM, but I would like to be able to see my kids on a webcam and have them see me (or at least one way). What is the best way/ software approach for this?

ICQ has viedo and chat and if i remember right also has voice over,used to use it a while ago and remembered it worked pretty good best of all its free,net meeting bye microsoft also has that ability for both but its a little more involved in setting up.
