Our Bell guy is trying to setup a Polycom HDX9002 to connect to a TMDI NTRB21AC card on an 11C. I think this is what would call LAN side T1? Polycomm has been useless at providing any info on how to configure the TIE pretty much saying that it's plug and play. To be honest there aren't many settings on the HDX9002. Other than switch type. DMS100. We've got the loop to come but the DCH keeps releasing. As well when the DCH comes up the channels are all in MBSY mode. Enl the ch works for awhile (and the call goes through) but then the T1 goes down. It seems like were close but something is misconfigured. It would seem logical to configure the TIE so that it emulates a CO DMS aas closely as posible?

Can anyone tell me if they have even heard of someone connecting video conference equipment to a PBX so they can utizize the existing PRIs? Is this even technically posible or have you only seen it done with a T1 from the CO. I'll try to get more info on the config?

On an ISDN PRI you have a NET side and a USR side. I believe the Meridian can only be USR side, except if you are doing QSIG, and I surmise the Polycom can only be the USR side. NET can only talk to USR.

I use an Adtran Atlas 550 set up as an ISDN PRI switch in a similar situation (an IVR Dialogic card) and it works great (except for the $2500 or so you'll have to spend on it). It basically acts as the NET side on both sides of the connection.

set up the ifc type as s100. this will allow you to change the usr type to net and thus be the master clock on the circuit.
