I am working on a project where video conferencing is performed over a wireless LAN. The sites are some Kms away and the bandwidth obtained is around 3Mb/s ...largely sufficient for Video calls. The only problem I am encounting is that the sound is very distorted when performing on site tests. When I bring the same equipment in house, the test goes fine. Can someone help with an explantion.

I am from Mauritius

cheers

Please do a ping -t from the remote site and see what the range of latency of the wireless LAN. If you are getting over 200ms, then it is not suitable for neither voice or video. Other than latency, are you getting a very strong signal?

Hope this help!

I have another test scheduled next week. I wil try it and keep u posted

cheers
