Hello,
I have recently purchased some second hand parts from a friend and one of the things that was given to me was a video card. Turns out he didn't have the drivers, so I have to download them from the manufacturer's website. The problem is, I don't know the name of the manufacturer. Upon looking at the card, I have seen the following names:
-CMXL
-SST MPF
-CEF
The model number is 39VF512. Does any of these ring a bell? I would contact the person whom I bought this from, but they have moved to another country for a year. Thanks.

This really belongs in the Video Issues forum.

Most video cards announce themselves via a video BIOS logo as soon as you switch the PC on - that should give more detail. 39VF512 is listed here
This doesn't identify the exact card you have, but it identifies a group of chipsets, and you should be closer to finding out - especially if you simply put the card into your PC and switch on.

If it is one of these, then lucky you - they're all good cards.

You might can find your manufacturer at this site. It will take some "staring and comparing" of the SST chip. If you find the manufacturer here, then go to their home page and download their latest driver. "A little knowledge is a dangerous thing....." [morning]
