I just bought a ATI Radeon 7000 PCI card to install in my 3 year old computer. I have a HP Pavillion 8665C, which has integrated video on the motherboard and runs with the Intel i810 video drivers. I went through the instructions that HP gives on their website for disabling the video drivers, installed the card, and restarted the computer, only to have it freeze loading the BIOS. Anyone have any suggestions?

Check for a bios update. I had a problem a while ago adding a video card to a Brio with onboard video. There was a bios update that solved the problem.

Thanks for the advice smah. I had already gone through all the instructions on the website you mentioned, and it still won't run. As you can see on my other thread, I have already tried the BIOS update, and am having problems with that.

Thanks,

smah, in case you read this later, I just returned the card. It wasn't worth the money to take it someplace and get it installed, so I'm not worrying about it. Thanks for trying to help.
