I have got an old HP Vecta VL 350mhz 128mb Pentium II 4gb hard disk computer that I'm trying to clear down to the basics and reinstall Windows 95, I have taken out the video card and want to use the one on the mother board.
I'm using the specific Windows 95 cd that came with the HP Vectra VL. It seems to install ok, until it gets to the stage Starting Windows 95 for the first time, then the Plug and Play message appears saying it has found my monitor. This monitor was working fine before I started the rebuild. Then this error message appears and all I can do is switch off. ...

An exeption OE has occurred at 0028:c0004a64 in vxd, vmm (01)+ 0003A64 called from 0028:c00085c4 in vxd vmm (01)+ 000075c4. Press any key blah blah blah...........
