I had to reinstall windows xp and then found my radeon 9200 card was not recognised (no entry in device manager in display adapter or other)Tried to install driver from cd but got error message
setup unable to complete installation.Try to set up display adapter with standard vga driver before setup.
The only reference I can find to a driver is in display properties where a vgasave driver is listed which cannot be updated.
Prior to trying to install from the cd I removed my old ati drivers and installed net framework

Hi gendorian,
1st question: does your motherboard have an onboard graphics chipset? ( if there are two places you can plug your monitor into on the back of your pc,then maybee there is )
2nd question: Do you know the make/model of your motherboard?
3rd question: After Xp re-install did you re-install the motherboard chipset drivers?

Thanks for reply.I ran the motherboard installation disc and then installed the radeon drivers and now I'm up and running again
