Hello. I capture all of my video using Windows 98 because it never drops frames. Video capture with Windows 2000 drops frames constantly. Recently, however, my machine has become corrupted and I need to format and install Windows. I am thinking of using Windows XP. Does anyone have experience capturing video with Windows XP? Does it drop frames like Windows 2000?

What is your processor type and speed, and how much ram do you have? Also make sure you have all programs running in the background closed, and no viruses or spyware. XP should be faster than 98 or 2000, so you shouldn't have any trouble. If you do try upgrading your computer. XP should be great though.

Hope this helps!
