Video capture error

I have a Asus V9520 Video card. I want to capture some old video from my vcr but my WDM Video drivers are not compatable with windows xp. I try to install these drivers and get this message. WDM Video for windows did not pass windows logo testing captive driver (Win32). Says it will make Windows unstable if installed.
I have tried to find a update. Anyone know about this problem?

MS is paranoid - standard message. Try the drivers, if it does do anything to Windows, un-install.

That warning message translated into layman reads as follows: "The writers of this driver did not pay enough money to Microsoft, and so we will display this warning message to discourage you from using their products.

Not only that but issue of $$$$$ to upgrade to newer versions of software. Photoshop ver 4 and 5 run perfectly fine on XP, got the same message and just ignored it.
