I have a question about FILLNG THE VIDEO BUFFER. If I use the Fill command in Debug to fill the video buffer with the value 702A. Assuming that the display is color...the command would be F B800:0 1000 2A,70.

I understand that the video display changes, but I am not sure why....can anyone explain this too me?

Very simple, that address is where the video-buffer is mapped into memory. Every device that needs memory can put it somewhere, and make it available to the world. For video-adapters, that memory starts at A000 and continues untill BFFF usually. Why those addresses? Because they decided to put it there in the original design.
