I'm looking for a video bios upgrade. The motherboards reseller and manufacture have either gone out of business, or changed names, and noone knows where they went.

Using Sandra (System ANalyser, Diagnostic and Reporting Assistant), I've determined that my video bios is from 1996!!!! YIKES.. no small wonder that my 2000 3d card won't work. The company's name was vision top, made by Xcesstech. Thier websites are gone. Does anybody have anyidea as to where they went? I need the bios upgrade. Here is the specs on the motherboard. First, it's probably not the video bios you want, but the motherboard bios. In any event, it's the manufacturer who could (if they were around) provide you with that upgrade. If you don't find a major manufacturer's name on the board (Asus, Abit, Intel, etc.) it will be almost impossible to upgrade the bios, even if the board supports it. The video card is probably fine.

Assuming it is the video card, the same thing applies. The video card is less likely to let you upgrade the bios, however. Some do, but because all of the common chipsets (motherboards included) come with bios versions that are usually customized for the particular manufacturer, there is no vanilla solution. You can try MrBios, but there are no guarantees.

Sorry...

THank you. I will try MRBIOS. If it dosn't work, I think I"ll upgrade to a 1.2 ghz computer, as mine is a 400,. I've been needing to for a while now...:)
