I have a Rage XL PCI card in the W2K server that runs Citrix MF 1.8.
I can set the adapter to any color and refresh rate, but it always looks like 256 colors.
It looks like that on the server, but when users connect via ICA (thin clients) their adapter settings appear to work.

Also, a few weeks ago, the browser suddenly stopped loading java animations (we use a third party to host our website, and when we update, we use their java interface).
Any PC that does not go through CITRIX can connect up and make updates just fine, but in CITRIX, they get a PLEASE WAIT window.

I've updated DIRECTX, JAVA, and FLASH, and all test out like they work properly.
I'm running the same browser on the server that runs on other PC's.

The server runs TS in Application Mode. I don't know if this is the culprit or not.

Any ideas will be gratefully received!

Thanks,
Corie

Maybe a silly question but have you tried clearing the Java Cache on the server?

No I hadn't thought of that. I just did, and unfortunately, nothing changed.

Thanks,

We had a similar problem and it was the proxy we use which was filtering out some of the Java applets becuase the heuristic scanning thought they might be harmful.

Could that be the case for you?

Well, I created a rule allowing all traffic from that website. It didn't work.
I then created a content rule allowing java scripting from that site.
That too, did not work.

Fortunately, my hair is thick, and that new bald spot will be almost invisible!

Thanks,
Corie

It's fixed.

Unfortunately, I do not know what fixed it, since three of us each did something different, unbeknownst to each other.
I uninstalled and reinstalled every IE patch. One tech reloaded all java applets on the website. One flushed and reset DNS.

Thanks for everything!

Corie

No worries.....

Thats a whole load of changes all at once. If i had to guess it would be the Patches that fixed it but as you say...

Who knows.

Glad you got it fixed.

Mike
