Good Day,

How can I search with vi for a string such as - /export/pmclient/txtsrv/17/55/05/51.ctl?

Regards,
Dan

Wouldn't that be...
Code:
:/\/export\/pmclient\/txtsrv\/17\/55\/05\/51.ctl/

Just escape all of the slashes that are part of the string to find with a backslash.

When a string contains lots of forward slashes like that... sometimes I find it easier to just search backwards using ?, which doesn't require all that escaping... :)
