VI Import Job Design, Missing a Needed Operation.

I'm trying to build a VI Import job for "P/O Receipt of Goods Entry" (or "PO.RECEIPT") table in MAS200 Version 4.0.

While setting this up, I found that the "Receipt Number" (or "RECEIPT_NO") field does not have an operation for Next Assign.

What is the best method for setting this field to the next available value? If I leave it blank or remove it from the import process, will it automatically populate the index like MS-SQL Server would?

Has anyone ever found a good way to get the next higher number for a situation like this?

You could do it with perform logic but I am too swamped at the office to give it much thought.
