VI - Error After Alias Import

After importing in a few alias part #s to our testing company I noticed a glitch of sorts. Inside Invertory Maintenance > Alias I was checking to see if the imports made it correctly (which they did) for a particular part. Selecting one of the newly imported alias numbers from the alias item list (lets say, to modify the descriptions) I now see that there is a duplicate in the alias item list window, thus showing 2 identical numbers of that previously selected alias #. Any ideas to where, why, how, or preventative measures for when I do this to the real company?

You probably forgot to import something. Were these General aliases?

yeah, i used an Assigned value rather than a Replace from the import file.
