VI & PO.RECEIPT with Lot/Serial Distribution Records

Hi All,

I’m writing a VI job to import Receipt of Goods records (PO.RECEIPT). This allows me to import records to PO5_ReceiptEntryHeader and PO6_ReceiptEntryLineDetail.

Online, in MAS Receipt of Goods module, I can enter these records as well as “Lot/Serial Number Distribution” records. These records go into file PO9_RecptEntryTierDistDetail.

In VI – PO.RECEIPT does not have fields for PO9_RecptEntryTierDistDetail.

Does anyone know how I can get these “Lot/Serial Number Distribution” records added in VI while processing my PO.RECEIPT records?

This would require two imports and would be extremely difficult. If this is to be done on an ongoing baics I would strongly suggest purchasing the Bar Code module which has an import function that allows you to import the serial number along with receipt information.

Your issue is that the serial number file is linked to the line detail file only by the line index. Basically what you would have to do is import the header and lines, extract the line index and then create a file with the line index and the serial numbers. Not very easy.
