can you help in decoding this message, sys messages guide is not very helpful with the description.

as a result of this, the tmdi card restarted and the 11c also was restarted

format says:
EXCH x: y in task n. SR=a, PC=b, Addr=c, SSW=d

-----------------------------------------------
% BERR705 EXC 0: Bus Error in Task "tSL1" (0x203e89f0)
% SR=0x3008, PC=0x10ea3ea6, Addr=0xb000c14c, SSW=0x105
-----------------------------------------------
thanks in advance

Hi,

The BERR message means that there was an error in 1 of the tasks executed by the Meridian.

A task is the same thing as with Windows. Each task performs specific actions. I.e. tDBA handles the Data Buffering and Access stuff (LD 117), tPDT handles the Problem Determening Tool stuff..

If this just happend ones there's nothing to worry... 99 times for an 100 the Meridian fixes the problem by itself

If Bill Gates had a nickel for every time Windows crashed... Oh wait, he does...
