Hi,

I have created a few LPARS on AIX5.3 but still cannot figure this out.
How do you know which of your partitions a vhost is assigned to. I would assume "lsmap -vadapter" would do the trick as it has a "client partition id" field.

I created a virtual scsi adapter on my virtual I/O server.
Because of a bug (wonder whether it's been fixed?) I reboot the Virtual I/O server and run "lsdev -virtual" and see my new vhost adapter.
Running "lsmap -vadapter" on this vhost returns a client partition id of "0x00000000".

Any thoughts?

I would also use ( you're doing it right )

lsmap -vdapter vhost#

Did you make your vscsi target device from a a physical disk for from a logical volume?

I'm not sure what the bug you're taking about is. What results do you get returned from :

ioslevel

I'm currently running 1.1.1.41
