Hi Team;

I have critical problem with CS1K system, after rebooting two MGCs the DSP (vgw channels) cannot be enable/IDLE, they stay waiting mgcdb.xml file from call server
we already disable secure transfers and unreg all mgcs from ucm domain but still the same issue
I try again to register the call server to the UCM, but I receive error (connection failed)

Please any help to transfer the mgcdb.xml and mgc.db manually to the MGCs ?

Thank you in advance

I would probably factory default the affected MGC's to the gold image & re-install them, adding all the IP info & add them back to the system(outside of the sec domain), then force it all back in to the sec domain

Remember if it doesn't work hit it harder

Typically defaulting to the Gold Image is needed during upgrades depending on Release.

Procedure

MGC Default to Gold Image

To get the MGC Card to boot to the Gold Image you must get to the MGC bootrom prompt. Use the following steps to do this.

1. Reboot the MGC Card
2. as it is booting type <CTRL> B just after the creation date is printed and the
{VxWorks Boot} prompt should be displayed.
3. at the prompt type in “test”
4. choose option b to change boot options
5. select option 2 to force csp to boot from gold image once
6. select option 0 to return to previous menu
7. press return key to exit menu and return to prompt
8. enter @ at the prompt
9. the mgc will boot to the gold image

To format the compact flash from the gold image you must press <CTRL> I when prompted during the MGC gold boot. This will bring up a VxWorks prompt ->, At the prompt enter, diskformat “all” This will format the MGC’s internal compact flash. Reboot the MGC and when it registers to the call server it will automatically upgrade.

go to LD 117

=>dis trans secure

then reboot the MGC again. See if this works. Sometimes I have to disable this to get the file transfer to happen. then when it comes up

=>en trans secure

You may have to wait about an hour to do this because of the processing taking place to bring up the card, but this may help you.

you haven't got ISSS enabled on the Callserver and not set on the MGC's have you? Also you have got the transfers insecure enabled in 117. If you are going to unreg the MGC's would Unreg the CS. CS can ping all the MGC's, in same subnet or remote?
