VG248 Error Codes?

Does anyone know a resource that lists VG248 error codes?

This particular message is what I'm looking for:

ERROR: DSP 26: HPI error: message 72 in state fax

Wow, that's a new one (we have 9 VG248's in production). There's no doc for VG248 error codes as far as I know (believe me, I keep looking). You're seeing this in the event log on the VG248 itself? Are you seeing it over and over or is this a one-time occurance?

I know HPI stands for Host Port Interface...the Cisco bug toolkit has nothing on that error, ditto the Cisco Forums.

What kind of fax machine do you have hooked up to this line? Have you turned ECM off on the fax machine? Also make sure to set the max speed on the fax machine to 14400.

Also, what firmware version are you running on your VG248?

Software version : 1.2(1)
DSP firmware version : 3.6(20x)
Loader version : 1.0(1)

The latest version is 1.3.1. I do have to warn you about a nasty bug in both the 1.2.1 and the 1.3.1 software, where a port will stay offhook and cannot make calls - the only fix is to reboot the VG248.

Try upgrading to 1.3.1 firmware. Instructions:

Start - Run on a Windows machine;
ftp <address of VG248>;
put <name of tar file.tar>;
reload (restart the VG248);
VG248 will come up with new load.
