VG200 End-Of-Life 1

So, the vg200 is retiring soon. Just wondering what others out there are going to as a replacement.

I see Cisco is recommending the 2600XM series.

Anyone know if the VWIC's like the 2VWIC-MFT-T1's will work in new devices, or do we have to purchase interface cards again? That's probably a stupid question, they gotta make their money right..

How many analog lines do you need to use? I have been using the EVM modules in 2821s.

No analog lines here, just two full PRI's. using the 2VWIC-MFT-T1 cards.

Then why were you using a VG and not a router to begin with? Anyways I believe you mean VWIC2-1MFT-T1 and yes they work in all ISR routers such as 2800,3800.

all the vg's were bought before I was hired many moons ago.. Thanks for the info though. I think I just stumbled upon the info I needed from Cisco. You are correct, the cards will work in the 2600,2800, and 3800.

I'm lookin hard at the 2621XM - looks like it'll do the trick.

I wouldn't buy one, unless it was a smoking deal. The 2600xm's will be EOL'd soon

Sorry, meant EOS ... not EOL. The 2800's are the 2600xm's replacement.

The official EOS for the 2600xm's hasn't been announced. However, I work for a Cisco Gold Partner and was informed my a Cisco SE that it is in the works.

So I'm just supposed to trust you on that then huh... just kiddin man. As confusing as Cisco's documentation is, I probably had that right in front of me and didn't even notice it.
