I did try it, works neat, also over the web.
The only setback I see is that the server is only restricted to VFP databases while it MIGHT be interesting to serve other databases as well.
The whole thing is rather simple in the way it works as it is just Winsock programming and, on the server side, processing a SQL select and encrypting the result-set.
