Has anyone came across that?

I designed an IntraNet that is a hybrid VFP/HTML (using foxweb) and Desktop apps in VFP9, which both relate to each other (in data and sync etc..)

I am looking for a way for a user to create a nice html formatted post, from my Desktop app (like the rtf rich control editor), however, i want the editor to save as html formatted tags, etc...

anyone came across that?

Hi Ali,

You can create a very simple HTML editor in VFP using the Microsoft Web Browser control.

In summary, you drop the control on a form, call its Navigate2 method to open a document containing the text you want to edit, then set the document's DesignMode property to "on". The user can then edit the document, using keyboard shortcuts, such as Ctrl+B for bold. To save the text, you copy the contents of the document's Body.InnerHTML property to a variable, file or table.

The editor won't be very sophisticated, but it's easy to create, and doesn't depend on any third-party components.

Rick Strahl has an article about this on his site. See and scroll down to the "Editing HTML" section near the end.
