vfp7 grid... hover display row by row data as a tooltip

I realize this can be done in VFP 9, but this client is working in VFP 7

does anyone have a work around for displaying a hover type tooltip of a data.

this is cell data not being displayed for a none active row, each row has a unique data in a cell off the grid

should work in VFP 7. It uses Access methods.

Just a note: Even in VFP9 automatic tooltips of the data are only available for memo fields you show in textbox instead of editbox. Quite a wasted feature.

Tooltips worked right in grids in VFP 9 SP1, but got broken again in SP2. But the technique I describe should work everywhere.
