why would you want to shut Intellisense off?
Annoying, while not in the least helpful, even in the Command window.
Moreover, may screw up your code when typing it in the code editing window.
Should be made "On demand", like in VB6.
Sorry, I disagree. I use it all the time, and it is very helpful. I hate to bring up the help whenever I have a cranial flatulation incident and can't remember the syntax of a function. And, it is also quite helpful when using other com servers etc. to use the properties.
But, it may take some getting used to if you're new to VFP.

Matter of taste, actually. My co-worker also likes it, and for the same reason. I don't. It maddens me when I start typing something like SET ORDER TO while coding a procedure, and it brings up the list of index numbers of the table opened in the currently active area while I was going to type something like &lcIdx. And that's only one example when Intellisense is hindering instead of being helpful.
