Yes, VFP 8.0 development is only supported under W2K SP2+ and XP, while the executables are supported under all 32-bit OSs but Win95.
Notice the key word supported! While people have reported successfully installing it on NT 4.0 and Win 98, and even running the apps on Win95, if ANYTHING doesn't work right on these unsupported platforms, don't bother complaining - you were warned. One key to using the unsupported OSs is applying all the available OS updates and installing the GDIPLUS.DLL.
Note: Obviously, not all of VFP 8.0's new features will work on all OSs (e.g. Themes).
