In the VFP 8 documentation 2 files are required to be present in the same directory as the executable file: vfp8r.dll and vfp8renu.dll
The executable resides on a network drive. Should these dll files reside in the system or system32 directories instead?
getting an error cannot find msvcr70.dll

this processs should be easier

More than two files are required.

You should really use InstallShield Express (which ships with VFP) to build a proper installer. It will make sure that all file dependencies are taken care of and put files in the right place.

LenaS,
For a "complete" list see However, I'd recommend you use a real Windows Installer (like the free InstallShield Express that comes with VFP 7.0 and 8.0), and use the MS supplied MSM files. This way you'll not only get the "required" files, but you'll get the proper updates to the dependent system files - especially critical on "older" machines for the best results.
