VFP 6 and 9 on the same PC

Hi,

I am rewriting a system in 9 whilst continuing to support the old version (in 6).

I really need to use just one laptop but am not sure the effect of installing 9 with 6 still on it.

Has anyone tried this ?

No problem. They install in separate folders.

I have all versions from 6.0 to 9.0 installed on the same machine, with no difficulty whatever.

The only thing to watch for is Windows file associations. By default, whichever version of VFP you install last will be the one that has the associations for PRG, DBF, etc. But you can easily alter that if you need to.
