I have transferred data and database previously using VFP 5.0 to VFP 9.0. I can view tables and forms in data basae menu but program will not run. I received message: "error loading file, Loading form or the data environment:view definition has been changed". Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

That error can also mean table structures of a table used in a view has changed. If the view previously was designed using * to have all fields of a table in the view result, the view acually does store each and every field in it's view definition data and if there is the slightest change in field type or a field is missing the view will fail.

What you could do is use GENDBC.PRG on the database and extract code of the database objects including the views in it. Then recreate the views in code and/or see if there are changes needed.

Bye, Olaf.
