Hi I am very new to VPN.

I dont know very much about it but we need to create a VPN between two sites. 1 (our main office) is in the UK and 2 is in Libya.

I was just wondering if you could let me know what I would need and where to start?

Thanks for your help.

James

You might need to give everyone a bit more information. Like what your hardware / software setups are at each site, and what you wish to achieve with a VPN.

Once you give us this, we can help you come up with an appropriate solution.

You may have many options, site to site VPN or router to router. This searchh result may help you to make decision.

VPN Solutions.

How to Setup Windows, Network, VPN & Remote Access on

Hi,

Thanks for all of your help.

OK. Currently I am still setting up the secondary site in Libya. What I want to achieve here is be able to log onto an e-mail server and access a central database which is located in the UK.

The hardware we have in the Uk is a 3Com Firewall (Office Connect Secure Router 3CR860-95)

and a BT Firewall (Model 5861 Software version 5.3.181 Type 1 VPN)

The office in Libya is not complete but will have the 3Com Firewall.

We have a BT 1Meg internet connection.

If you need any more info to help please ask.

Thanks for everything.

James
