Hi Guys,

Another quick question:

In SAP, we can have three dates in a document:
Posting Date
Document Date
Entry date

Out of the above, Entry Date can not be changed, rest two can be (within SAP, I mean).

When Cognos extracts data from SAP, what date does it pick?

I appreciate your help as I am raw to Cognos.

Expecting reply from one of you Gurus.

Regards

which date kolom of the SAP database is used in your framework model?

YOU decide what columns are selected from your data sources in the Framework Manager Model. That's the beauty of it.
Check the database layer in your model and doublecheck the fields/columns available. The metadata should let you know some detail too.

v2enter,
What I mean is: If you are a COGNOS user and not the designer/developer that created the Framework Manager package, then you are at the mercy of what is available.
If your "Posting Date" is not available to you, then you need to request it added to the report/package.
What COGNOS tool are you using?

v2enter,

Sorry, I see from another post that you are using ReportNet.
Since you know the appropriate SAP date field you want/need to use, and if it's not available, then you need to request it added to the package.
