Help Guys,

I did a lot of work yesterday and I didn't backup my local database that I was working on. This mourning I tried to login to my localhost mysql db through MySQL-Front and MS-DOS but I couldn't and it gave me the following error:

ERROR 2003: Can't connect to MySQL server on 'localhost' (10061)

and when I checked WinMySQLadmin in the Err File tab, I found the following errors:

020929 15:59:46 MySql: Table 'mysql.host' doesn't exist

020929 1:41:30 MySql: Shutdown Complete

020929 1:41:29 MySql: Normal shutdown
MySql: ready for connections

In phpinfo() page I looked at mysql section and I found that there's no section for MySQL support, only deravitives exist!

Please help me .... I'm lost .... :(

looks like the main mysql database is messed up - well, maybe there is more than that not ok, but you'll now that after a successful llogin
what you first need is to restore the mysql database - either from a backup, could also be a backup of your online db (the best would be to replace the complete mysql db dir) or by running a post install script called "mysql_install_db", but i'm not sure if something like this exists in the win version of mysql :-|

hope that helps
